In 2022, we began the construction of the Health Center located in the 3 de Enero village, part of Casapalca.

This project represents Alpayana’s most significant investment and will be the most impactful structure built in the area to provide outpatient medical consultations. In this space, members of the Casapalca community, as well as travelers, will have access to a health service that is easily accessible, high-quality, and equipped with specialized tools to ensure proper patient care.

We are very proud to continue contributing to the development of the area and to the well-being and health of hundreds of Peruvian families.

Thanks to the commitment and participation of our employees, Alpayana continues on its path toward digital transformation!

As part of our commitment to the communities in our area of influence, we signed an agreement with the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH) to carry out the Impulsa Program, a community development project focused on promoting health, education, entrepreneurship and social welfare.

Through business workshops, nutrition counseling and dental care, together with UPCH, we will improve the tools and living conditions of more than 2,000 people, from children to the elderly, in the communities of San Antonio and San Mateo.

Proper infrastructure is essential for optimal academic performance, as it motivates students and fosters a positive attitude toward the lessons they receive.

In this regard, in 2021, in coordination with the authorities of Jorge Basadre School and the Casapalca community, we completely replaced the roofs of the high school pavilion due to severe and recurring issues caused by its inadequate structure.

Actions like these fill us with pride, as they contribute to the community and, most importantly, to hundreds of young people who represent the future of our country.

The Qallariy Project focuses on repurposing organic waste from the dining halls of our mining units to convert it into pig feed. This initiative positively impacts the communities within our area of influence by creating business opportunities and fostering growth among the local population.

This initiative was born under the sustainable business model managed by Sinba, a socio-environmental company and our main partner in developing this project. Through Qallariy, two business opportunities are created: operating the bio-factory and marketing pork by improving pig farming practices for women in the communities.

Qallariy is part of a new approach to mining that we are implementing at Alpayana—one that embraces sustainability and environmental care while involving communities in actions for comprehensive development.

Aligned with our pillar “Efficiency in our operations,” we have implemented fiber-optic internet in our office located nearly 1 km deep inside the mine. This project is vital as it enables immediate report submissions and access to software for data updates, tasks that were previously done manually and required more time for coordination.

It is important to note that this project is part of our digital transformation process, which drives us to seek modern and innovative solutions across the various areas of our operations.

Our corporate volunteering program, Haku, a Quechua word meaning “let’s go help,” aims to connect employees from our units with people living in communities near our operations through various social benefit activities.

The first activity we carried out involved donating 1,000 books contributed by our employees. This educational material was designated for the new recreational reading room established at José Gabriel Condorcanqui Primary School in the San Mateo Community.

Thanks to the involvement of our employees and excellent teamwork, we succeeded in helping hundreds of children in the area improve their reading skills and develop their imagination.

We will continue supporting with more volunteering activities as the great family we are!

At Alpayana, we reaffirm our commitment to the well-being of the families living in areas near our mining operations. On December 4th, we inaugurated the renovated Chicla Health Post, which now features infrastructure designed to provide quality medical care.

Thanks to these improvements, healthcare professionals now have the necessary conditions to provide care in specialties such as general medicine, dentistry, family planning, and more.
